During your consultation, please raise any questions or concerns about your skin care needs and provide us with an overview of your medical history. Your aesthetician will evaluate your skin and make a recommendation if RF microneedling is right for you, then develop a personalized treatment plan. With your blessing, we can proceed with your treatment that day or schedule you for your first session later.
What to Expect on the Day of RF Microneedling Treatment
Please avoid taking blood thinners or medication that increases skin sensitivity for several weeks leading up to your RF microneedling appointment. When you are ready for your first RF microneedling treatment, your aesthetician will cleanse and properly prep the skin and provide you with protective eyewear that you should wear for the duration of your treatment.
Your aesthetician will then gently apply a topical numbing cream to minimize any pain or discomfort you might feel during the procedure. They will then apply the radiofrequency device to the skin. You may feel gentle pricks and warmth as the needles distribute the radiofrequency to your deeper skin layers.
Depending on the patient’s needs, the entire session can take from 45 minutes to an hour.
RF Microneedling Recovery
RF microneedling requires little downtime to recover. Patients may experience mild bleeding, redness, or swelling after their procedure, but these symptoms are temporary and should be reduced within a day or two after their treatment. We strongly recommend avoiding sun exposure during the recovery period.
